Conspiracy hypothesis fans would have enjoyed Mr Mexmollen Marcus’ ‘Influenza A (H1N1): Is there a dark agenda at work?’ Do masks really help protect you from the pandemic? Are WHO and CDC really hoodwinking the public? Questions to ponder indeed.
Up next was Mr Thong Pak Leong’s turn, in which he gave as its title says, an ‘Overview & management of Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation‘. Being a complicated disease as it is, Mr Thong was more than happy to engage in a lively discussion on DIC during break time.
After break, the audience welcomed Mr Alan Na Wei Lun presentation on ‘Current Malaysian Perspectives on Type 2 DM management‘ as promised. As he explained about drug therapy of DM, Mr Alan also highlighted newer drug group called incretin mimetics as an adjuvant.
All in all, there were 3 presenters with 3 well presented topics to close S2E6 of Future Doctors. See you in the next episode 7!
